Join us at our September Lunch & Learn for a tour of Sandy City’s new hydro-excavation treatment facility! Last year, Sandy City completed construction of the facility, which was designed to properly remove fine-grained soils from hydro-excavated material collected during water main break repairs.
The facility features a multi-stage decanting process that uses weir gates to separate water from sediment, providing easier operations than traditional decanting facilities. This process allows Sandy City to discharge to the sewer while meeting water quality requirements.
