Join us at our March Lunch & Learn where Jake Mitchell, Draper City’s Street Manager discusses best practices with snow removal. Draper City includes a large area of residential housing at high altitude known as Suncrest. Because of this area, Draper conducts snow plowing operations more often and to a higher degree than most other Cities in Salt Lake and Utah Counties. In this presentation, Jake will discuss methodologies the City has employed to efficiently and safely de-ice and plow snow. The City manages its own brine solution and sanding operation, we will share videos of how this process works and best practices. Our discussion will also include preventative maintenance of the road (before snow), maintenance of equipment, and more. We invite any and all to attend, especially those that work in snow removal operations to also contribute their thoughts or experiences.
