Come join the Central Utah Branch on a tour of the new Spanish Fork Sewer Treatment Plant currently under construction. The new plant is a Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR) technology which also uses Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) tanks. This will be a great experience to see the ins and outs of a treatment plant, how it has been deigned to operate and what it takes to construct. It’s also a great opportunity to network and strengthen relations with your fellow public works employees. The tour will be held on October 24, 2024 at 11:30 am. We will meet at 2028 N. 200 E., Spanish For , UT, where we will have a lunch presentation by the design engineer and contractor on the technology being utilized for the sewer plan, why it was selected and how it is intended to operate. We will also hear from the contractor on the constructability of the project and challenges that have been encountered so far. We have had some issues with all branch members getting this email, so please forward it to others in the branch to spread the word. We would like you to please RSVP so we can get an accurate count for lunches. This is an active job site, so PPE is required (vests, hard hats and glasses).
